Meadow Bank B&B
Meadow Bank is a small friendly family run Guest House situated in the picturesque village of Lorton, 8 miles from Keswick and 5 miles from the gem town of Cockermouth. The village of Lorton has various amenities within walking distance which include a village pub, shop, church and tennis courts. A short drive takes you to Buttermere, Crummock Water and Loweswater offering numerous walks of varying degrees and spectacular scenery. We are on the C to C cycle route.
Christine offers a varied breakfast (full english, vegetarian or continental) served in the dining room with lovely views over the garden to the fells beyond. Guests are very welcome to enjoy the extensive gardens and may be fortunate enough to see the red squirrels feeding. The garden also attracts a large variety of birds.
1 Twin bedded room with very spacious en-suite facilities .
1 Double bedroom with private bathroom with bath and shower.
The rooms each have tea/coffee facilities and radios and complementary toiletries. There is a spacious comfortable T.V.lounge with cosy log fire.
Packed lunches are available on request.
