Lorton Village Shop
Arwen and Lee re-opened the village shop in Lorton in October 2015, and have focussed on creating a friendly, cosy space championing local produce and welcoming cyclists. We serve locally-roasted Carvetii Coffee, Organic Clipper teas and several varieties of Kokoa Collection Single Origin Hot Chocolate to enjoy in or take-away. There’s a range of home made cake, scones, sandwiches and snacks on offer, with seating inside and out in the tea garden. There’s also space for bikes in the garden, a new toilet building and a tap for water bottle refills. You can find us in Lorton Village in between Lorton School and the Yew Tree Hall, on C2C Route 71; just follow the Lorton Village Shop signs and blackboards from Buttermere, Thackthwaite, Rogerscale, Whinlatter and Cockermouth.
