Hare and Hounds
The Hare and Hounds is a 16th century coaching inn in the village of Levens, in the Lyth Valley on the edge of the Lake District. Easily accessible from the A590 & M6, it is a proper village pub specialising in local cask ales and fresh simple food.
Ash and Becky Dewar bought the pub in April 2013. We are friendly and welcoming to all – families, tourists, walkers, cyclists, children, muddy boots and dogs.
We are pleased to say we now have four beautiful & individual en suite letting rooms. Every room is individually styled and reflect the character of this remarkable building.
All rooms have free wifi, flatscreen TV, and tea & coffee making facilities. Our four rooms are named after past owners or landlords of the pub – to see photos of the rooms please click the names PRICKETT, COTTAM, GARNETT, & BENNET.
